Animal Jam - (Updates) - NEW Arctic Fox Animal

Animal Jam is about to release a new animal: the arctic fox. Will this be similar to the fox? Will this animal even be similar to the arctic wolf? Will this animal even replace the popularity of the arctic wolf? That I doubt so, but it will be a runner up in the most popular animals in Animal Jam history. Hopefully, this animal will actually look like the actual animal, because, in my opinion, the latest animals haven't been doing quite so.

The title may be misleading ("a nu animal, BOO!!"), for, indeed, it's not a scary animal. I would've expected a tarantula, but, nope, it is an arctic fox, according to online sources. I realize it says there is a clue in Jamaa, but seriously, that clue is hard to find.

Animal Jam - The New Trading System

Animal Jam made a new trading system, where you can trade up to 20 items for an item. Honestly, this is an update so many people have been waiting for. It's a tad bit strange having to trade 20 of your items for one time, and this will incontrovertibly change the value of certain items. But at least this will reduce trading scams. The only problem with this is that it will take a million years to find 20 of your items.

As you can see, the '+' will just keep adding on until you get 20 items. Pretty neat, hmm? However, I do feel that this update will encourage unfair trades.

Animal Jam - (Updates) - The Lynx

Hey, people! Animal Jam released a new update today; they introduced the lynx! It looks very cute and all, but the part where they fall short is that the animal does not look like a lynx. Its front legs are big relative to its hind legs. The lynx looks a bit perky, I guess, but I would've assumed it was a house cat if I didn't know it was a lynx.

From here, you can see that the lynx doesn't really look like a lynx, at least in my opinion. I do think that the lynx's 'play' is awfully cute (again, the 'play' makes the lynx a resemblance to a house cat instead of a lynx). It also evinces the lynx's playful mood!

The play is probably my favourite feature of the lynx! The dance is similar to the other dances. The lynx does stretch its front paws out, making the dance quite absurd and funny.

No, lynxes are not bipedal, but Animal Jam adds their own 'human' touch to their animals.

All in all, it's a cute animal and I think many clothing items fit the lynx quite well. I do feel it was an inchoate idea, though. The animal isn't bad, but it could've been better.

Animal Jam - The Jammer Wall

The Jammer Wall is a new feature where people can post stuff to your wall. You can customize it and tell people how you feel. Honestly, this is the new Facebook/Twitter. Basically, anyone can post on your Jammer Wall. Is it going to be the new Facebook? I doubt it. Imagine if Jammers would post their problems on their Jammer Wall like they would on Facebook or Twitter. AJHQ advertised this and the person's voice is seriously horrendous (no offense).

Anyways, now that the Jammer Wall is out,it's only available for members but will soon be available for non-members as well. This thing is pretty bad though. Who actually posts on their Jammer Wall? You could post your accomplishments but people would just think you were bragging. Plus, there's a 70-character limit. That's even shorter than a Tweet! But all in all, this could be a good update if you're really into posting and wanting the entire world to know you were eating spaghetti for dinner.

Animal Jam - (Updates) - Llamas Are Coming!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been extremely busy with school so I was unable to keep you Jammers updated. But anyways, I'm glad I logged on at the right place and at the right time because I've been informed that llamas are coming! I think it's going to be a 10 diamond animal (as they are always now, huh). I wouldn't say they have the nicest looks though. Click here if you want to watch the animal trailer. Are you excited for the llamas? Honestly, every time an animal comes out, I get hyped over it. But when I get the actual animal, it doesn't feel so special. Are you excited?

Animal Jam - Best Guess

The newest Animal Jam game, Best Guess, is just a guessing game copied from Fantage. Copyright alert, Animal Jam, copyright alert. This is how it works:
1. A fact is laid out before you.
2. You have a few seconds to choose if the fact is true or false.
3. If you get a right, you get gems. If you get 2, 3, or 4 in a row right, you get a ×2, ×3, or ×
4 gem bonus. If you get one wrong, not only do you not earn gems, but your bonus becomes ×1 again (if it's not already at ×1).
4. Your animals dance if you get the question right.

Honestly, just follow what everyone else does and you will most likely get it right. When the statement is false, they give you the true statement a little bit later to help you learn, I guess.

Animal Jam - (Rares) - Orange Gecko Plushie

The Orange Gecko Plushie, usually considered a BETA, is a land den item available for both non-members and members. It was sold in Jam Mart Furniture for 100 gems. It is orange with peachy patches. There is no rare version but there is another variant, the Green Gecko Plushie. The green version is not rare at all. These are worth:

Cami's Frog (a little less)
Basket Of Candy
Bongo Drums
Sidekix Plushie (anything but the panda or crocodile)
Rare Headdress
Rare Claw (a little less)
Rare Cloud (a little more)

Animal Jam - Lucky Clovers Adventure (Spikes!)

Animal Jam's newest adventure — Lucky Clovers — could be one of the best adventures yet. This is no joke, because you can win spikes in there. Spike Wristbands or Collars, whatever. And they're not the ones from the Diamond Shop, they are actually the rare ones. But getting a rare spike is not easy at all. Why? Because you have to complete the whole adventure which takes about an hour at least. You have to find the keys and the chests, which makes it 2 times harder than the last holiday adventure.

I wish you all luck in it though. AJHQ really decorated the adventure well though, so admire the scenery while your hour of torture begins... Oh, and to make it worse, the adventure lags because there are, like, 100 people doing it at the same time. How fun!

Animal Jam - 600,000 Views!

We finally hit 600,000 views. Since I celebrate every 100,000 views, 600,000 will be no different. Here are the details:

Location: MeiAn's den Time: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm PST; 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm MST; 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST; 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST There is also a draw where all participants can partake in. The prize is a Rare Short Spiked Wristband (green in colour).

Animal Jam - (Rares) - Pearly Tiara

The Pearly Tiara, not to be confused with the BETA Milky Tiara or the in-store one, is one of the rarest Animal Jam items. (It's now even rarer than the BETA Creature Mask). Many people have claimed to have this tiara or to have seen it, but, my friend, it was probably the store one. This origin of this item is unknown, as there is no photographic evidence of this item being in stores.

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty hard to tell the difference between the in-stores one and the actual one. I guess the only difference is that the store one is more blue than purple, while the Pearly Tiara is more on the purple side than the blue. A lot of people also get this tiara confused with the Milky Tiara, which is milky white with a light pink gem on top. The Pearly Tiara is a bit rarer than the Milky one. The only Jammer I know that currently owns this item is reedles. Of course, there are probably more, but just none to my knowledge.

Now, of course, onto the rarity. I can't really say the item is priceless because 3-4 BETA Elf Helmets will surely get you this item. Anyways...
4 Tan Tiki Masks
2-3 Milky Tiaras
2 BETA Creature Masks
2-3 BETA Eyeball Hats
4-5 Reward Plaques (if any of you don't know what a Reward Plaque is, it's basically a Howl Plaque with the name 'Reward Plaque.' There are no physical differences though.)

Notice I didn't put Horse Coins or Healing Staffs or whatever, and the reason being is that those are deleted items. You can either say they're priceless or worth nothing.

The Pearly Tiara cannot be gained by playing Eagle Adventures. That's probably what makes it so rare.

Owls Are Here But Not New Animal Slots

I know that a million people are super excited for the owl. To be honest, I am too. But the fact that Animal Jam didn't make new animal slots saddens me. First of all, AJHQ has always made new animal slots so you can have one of every animal. When they released the polar bear, I couldn't wait for the bear and the new animal slots. Sadly, they didn't make new slots.

Now that the owl has been released, they still haven't. Even though the owl is a really cool animal and all, I think that they should up their gigabyte game a bit. I get that it costs money to buy storage and such, but that's why people pay for the game, is it not?

Even though I have enough diamonds to buy the owl (37), I won't really be happy getting it. Why can't Animal Jam just make new slots? It's kinda unfair, if you ask me.

Enough with the slot problem, let's move onto the owl. It costs 10 diamonds and is the SECOND flying animal. It's not the best in looks, unfortunately. The owl animal is as small as a bunny for some bizarre reason.

Owl Dance Preview

I am SO excited (read that in sarcasm). So the owl dance has been leaked. How come everything is being leaked? Anyways, it looks pretty weird. This is from Special Delivery by the way. My rate is 6/10.

How To Get Items From AJHQ

For those who don't know, you can get free items from AJHQ. Many people do know how to do this, which is why a million people have rares and items that are wanted. Anyways, I'll show you step-by-step how to get free rares:
1. Call AJHQ. Their number is 888-340-7313.
2. Get your parents or someone who has a deep voice on the phone. Why? Because you need your 'parent's permission' or else it's considered 'illegal.'
3. Once they believe that you have your parent's permission, tell them you got scammed. (Eg. "My ________ [insert item that you want] was scammed by ________ [insert some random username].)
4. If you're convincing enough, they will actually send you the items.

If you don't believe me, here's some proof:

Yes, they've even sent Founder's Hats. That goes to show that they'll be willing to send anything, no matter the rarity. Maybe they'll even by willing to send BETA Tiaras, BETA Creature Masks, or BETA Eyeball Hats? Who knows? People have done it before and it still works. Although people are claiming it's fake, you cannot e-mail AJHQ. Seriously, they're bastards when it comes to replying e-mails.

Please note that this doesn't have a 100% chance of working. It really depends on your acting skills. If you're a virtuous person, I do not recommend you doing this because it is, in fact, a way of cheating.

New Welcoming Tutorial

There's a new welcoming tutorial and it sucks. Just saying, it's super corny. Her voice sounds childish and it's weird.

She starts off by saying: "Welcome to your new home!" Wait, does this mean every single animal is adopted? Your life has been a lie.

Then you have to follow in her footsteps and she guides you into some forest where people welcome you.

Whoa there, Peck, what if I don't want to follow you?

Afterwards, you design your animal and go through the same routine you always do.

But this time, she rewards you with 1,500 gems. You start with 1,000, so now you have 2,500.

In the end, Peck just kicks you out and makes you go venture on your own.

Be sure to go to your den if you want her to annoy you more.

There's a reward though: 150 gems. I guess no pain, no gain, right?

In conclusion, the tutorial's pretty annoying (in my opinion), but I guess the gems you receive do pay off. What do you think of the tutorial? Go make a new animal and try it out.

Animal Jam - The Unreleased Toilet?!

Okay, this is a leaked image, definitely... But the good news is: TOILETS ARE COMING TO JAMAA! I have been waiting for one of these for I don't know how long! It doesn't have the best looks, but it's better than using a wooden chair... If you don't know what I mean:

In the picture, the toilet is also wooden. Seriously, what's with Animal Jam and wood? Wooden sinks, wooden computers, wooden TVs, wooden fridges, wooden pianos, and now wooden toilets? But we can all agree the toilet can stop this from happening:

Get it? Hahaha. Wait, just, nevermind. The toilet is a huge relief to all the animals (especially the reindeer) because when you gotta go, you gotta go.

As you can see, there's some water inside the toilet and a flush handle. Oooh, maybe you can click the flush handle and the water would flush down? That would surely be a neat idea.

Animal Jam - Rare Item Thursday?!

Yes, yes, I know it's a Friday, but yesterday, AJHQ released a new rare: the Rare Pink Purse! It has a dark pink body and baby blue straps. Maybe someone hacked into AJHQ and released it? Or an AJHQ employee accidentally released it before the release date? Anyhow, I think it will be re-released again on Monday, don't you? This is quite peculiar though. The good news is that it's available for non-members too! It costs 850 gems and could be the new fashion statement (although I doubt it).

Animal Jam - (Dens) - Greely's Hideout

Greely Hideout, a pretty evil-looking den, is on the market for 7 diamonds. Sure, it's quite expensive, but you have to look at what you're getting in order to decide if this den is truly for you.

It's a underground den–no surprise there. You go to your left and down, down, down into what looks like pits of lava. There are purple pipes are there to make sure you don't touch that boiling lava! There are also a few rooms where you can place villainous items too. Once you reach the top room, there will be a slide for you to slide down on. So I guess most Animal Jam dens have childish features... I have to admit that slide is pretty fun.

As you keep descending, there will be some rocky stairs where you can go down into 'deep hell,' you might say. You'll see some bridges here and there, but the center of all this, Greely's lava mouth.  Don't let yourself touch that thing, you could become corrupted.

Now, you go back up. There are numerous rooms that you can place items in and caves of precious amethyst. At the very top, you'll see a haunted castle looking thing. Is that the phantom king's castle? Maybe AJHQ will release a den and/or adventure looking just like that! Or perhaps we'll never know...

Animal Jam - Dancing Mira In Play Wild BETA!

So you've all heard of Play Wild. Well, now there's dancing Mira! Mira dances when there are 4 or more players that dance. So Animal Jam has taught us that statues can dance? Mira does some random swirl with her wings and stuff. Maybe there's going to be a heron animal? That'd be cool if that was the next flying animal, don't ya think?

Animal Jam - A Strange Username

Okay, let's be honest, we've seen some pretty bizarre usernames over the past few years of Animal Jam. But could this be the strangest? How can you even do a punctuation like that? The username reminds me of an owl, too bad the Jammer is a non-member. Haha.

Anyhow, how did the person get it? Is it just a glitch? Or did they hack? I think both theories are plausible. If Animal Jam lets us do these cool punctuations in our usernames, I wonder what kind of crazy, wacky, and silly usernames Jammers will think of!

Animal Jam - (Parties) - Bounce House Party

The Bounce Horse Party is a great way to hop your way to happiness! It was amazing effects and cool items for sale. The Bounce House Party will promise you joy and delight!

Let's start off with the first coolest thing–you don't need to 'hop' to actually bounce. The bounce house forces you to jump, no matter what animal! Gee, it's pretty fun!

Then there's the shop, which sells inflatable-looking items. There's the inflatable lamps, sofas, and some others. You can change the colour of the items too. Mind you that they DO NOT make you hop when you place it in your den (such a shame).

Next, there's the slides. They're pretty boring though, mainly because they are very short, and you can't extract much fun from them. Oh well... They also do not make you hop when you go on one. That would be just strange... and fun at the same time!

The last–and the most boring–part of the party are just the relaxation areas. There are some inflatable couches to sit on. Here, just chill and loosen up.

In conclusion, the party is pretty fun–for the first 5 minutes. Trust me, when I was done taking all these pictures, it was getting pretty boring and tame. But what do you expect? All Animal Jam parties keep you busy for 3-5 minutes and then becomes uninteresting.

Animal Jam - Owls, Bounce House Party, And More!

I don't usually post about updates, because most of them are pretty lame. They're usually new items or something like that. But this one is pretty big.

There's a new animal, the owl. It's a NEW flying animal, and it might be for 10 diamonds (most likely). Hopefully, AJHQ will create more animal space for this. I don't even have space for a polar bear.

Then, there's the Bounce House Party. It looks pretty fun (for now), but is sure to get boring after 5 minutes. Hopefully there will be some new and cool items! But all in all, I'm just hoping they put a bounce effect in the party.

Another thing they did is letting us vote on NEW den sets. In my opinion, the Pizza Parlor is ultra cool. Come on, it's pizza! Who doesn't like that savoury Italian treat? With gooey cheese, flavourful toppings, and an appetizing crust, the pizza set should (and might) delight you! Vote now! You have 3 den sets to choose from: Deep Space, Pizza Parlor, and Paint Studio. I believe the pizza parlor will win (no offense).

The last thing they did was they brought us pet pandas. In reality, I couldn't care less. Pets really don't benefit you in any way, so it's just there for show. But these pandas do bring the Chinese feeling out. So if you're Chinese, they might be something you look forward to!

Animal Jam - (Parties) - New Year's Party 2015

Every new year, Animal Jam hosts a New Year's Party. And every year, it's almost the same, except the items are a bit different. The cold icy snow fort hosts the New Year's party. With fun slides, delectable foods, extravagant music, and beautiful landscape, this party will surely amuse you (and then you'll get bored after 5 minutes).

There are 2 slides at the party, a fun one, and a boring one. The icy coldness is sure to make you shiver! Be sure to wear a warm coat before going on. Trust me, it has the potential to freeze your butt! Wait, no it doesn't. Mind you that this is just a game.

And of course, the "food"! Or you may call them clickables. These are able to spice up your time at the party on any day (no, not really)! There are 2 clickables–the lollipop and the cake.

Don't forget the music! The party may be there for you to look at, but your ears play a huge role too. The music is sure to cheer you up when you're feeling glum. Why not dance to this whimsical tune as you party with your friends?

Then there's the landscape. Such a beautiful sky to look at. Also, a secret hidden castle. Too bad Animal Jam did not allow us to explore it. Who knows who's inside it? Is it haunted? Even though you can't do THAT, you can stare up at the starry skies. The bright and loud fireworks are there flashing before your eyes. With an assortment of fireworks, there's no wonder that the New Year's Party IS the place to be!
